This three-day Open Innovation Forum-India hackathon which took place from 29th August to 31st August 2017 at the KL University, Guntur district, AP was sponsored by KL University, Berkeley Hass and Garwood Center. This hackathon focuses mainly to develop the next generation of digital technologies and business models through this hackathon and solve major rural problems by bringing together a diverse group of developers, makers, business analysts, university students, and visionaries. Honorable Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Sri Nara Chandrababu Naidu, Sri Nara Lokesh, Minister for ITE&C of Department, AP, and many other delegates took part in making this event a success. Students from various branches and fields participated and presented their ideas and solutions for the raising issues. On the last day of the hackathon Hon. Chief Minister, Sri. N. Chandrababu Naidu said that AP leads other in technology and that all the departments are computerized for better services under e-office and e-cabinet. He then declared nodal centre of Smart Villages would be started in KLU and also said that industrial revolution developed technology which further is changing lives of the public in smarter ways. He also stated that AP government has now surpassed the US about technology in government and private sectors and the data of AP government is stored in cloud storage and all the villages, towns and cities were linked through internet under e-governance concept.
